Established in 2000.
Design Works started in Denver as a wedding and event decor company. The sister company in Colorado Springs was established a few years later taking over the Broadmoor Bloom and started providing event, floral and decor services in 2007. Located on the west side of town near Old Colorado City, Design Works proudly serves as the Broadmoor Hotel’s preferred partner florist; delivering the finest arrangements to customers in Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs. John has been an established Interior Designer for over 10 years, and his partner David has over 30 years experience designing weddings with stunning centerpieces, extravagant table linens, lighting and drapery to make events extra memorable; John is the creative genius behind Design Works in Colorado Springs. Both have received numerous awards for their outstanding designs, and putting Design Works in a class of its own.

Founder David Squires, with more than 20 years of experience, is the design powerhouse behind Design Works’ success. A master florist with down-to-earth charm, David sets the high standard and elegant tone of Design Works, while injecting a high level of creative energy throughout the company. From the unique gifts and tasteful home décor he chooses to feature within the store, to the planning and execution of elaborate events, David’s attention to detail is reflected at every level of the organization.
